Essential oils are certainly having their day at the moment and for good reason. Essential oils help to revitalise your sense of smell, the most sensitive of our 5 senses. Smells have such powerful connections to memories. An example of this is using your chosen oil while studying, and then during the exam, may help promote memory recall. At Happy Healthy Women we only recommend Perfect Potion essential oils.

Quality is super important

There are a large number of essential oils available on the market, the quality of which can vary greatly. This makes it important to read labels when purchasing. Some examples of a lower quality oil:

If the label does not say 100% essential oils you are not dealing with essential oil, you are dealing with a synthetic, man made fragrance. Fragrances are potentially toxic. ^1. A ‘study, by the University of Melbourne, found that one in three Australians report adverse health effects from fragranced products, including breathing problems, migraine headaches, skin irritation and asthma attacks.’
If the oils are not 100% certified organic. Organic essential oils are important to us at Happy Healthy Women as this helps to ensure that the plants that the oils are derived from have been cultivated without the use of fertilisers or synthetic pesticides. This helps to ensure the finest quality oils are produced. Perfect Potion uses 100% organic essential oils wherever possible.

Ingredients Explained

aqua (water) Purified water is an essential component for healthy looking skin and hair, as it cleans and moisturises. It is also necessary to dissolve water-soluble ingredients in a product and therefore forms the base of most of Perfect Potion’s products.
caprylyl/capryl wheat bran/straw glycosides derived from palm oil fatty acids and sugars. Used as a surfactant in our essential oil solubilising agent.
fusel wheat bran/straw glycosides. Used as a solubility enhancer in our essential oil solubilising agent. This ingredient is derived from wheat.
limonene Limonene. Occurs naturally in essential oils Limonene is a natural component of essential oils, particularly citrus.
polyglyceryl-5 oleate. derived from glycerin and palm oil fatty acids. Polyglyceryl-5 oleate is a PEG-free surfactant/emulsifier included in our essential oil solubilising agent.
sodium cocoyl glutamate. Derived from coconut oil. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a sulfate free co-surfactant found in our essential oil solubiliser.
honeysuckle extract Lonicera caprifolium. Lonicera japonica Honeysuckle extract has anti-microbial properties and is used as a preservative in Perfect Potion products. It is approved for use by the BDIH and COSMOS.
glyceryl caprylate derived from coconut. Glyceryl Caprylate is a multi-functional emollient, humectant, co-emulsifier and preservative.
citric acid. Citric acid naturally occurs in the human body and also in plants, especially citrus fruits. Regulates pH levels and helps preserve products.
linalool Linalool is a natural component of essential oils such as Lavender.
alcohol (plant derived ethanol). Food grade ethanol containing no denaturants. Helps mix oil- and water-based ingredients by acting as a solubiliser. Also helps to preserve products.
calm & clear Australian bush flower essence contains: black-eyed Susan, boronia, bottlebrush, bush fuchsia, crowea, jacaranda, little flannel flower, paw paw. This blend of Australian bush flower essences encourages one to wind down and relax with calmness and peace.
boswellia carterii (frankincense) oil (certified organic) Frankincense essential oil is spiritually uplifting and used in meditation it enhances spiritual wisdom and inspiration.
lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil. (certified organic) The fresh floral scent of lavender is harmonising and calming. It promotes compassion and healing.
anthemis nobilis (chamomile, Roman) oil. (certified organic) The scent of Roman chamomile is harmonising, serene and peaceful. It promotes inner peace.
citrus sinensis (orange, sweet) oil. (certified organic) The fresh, citrus scent of sweet orange conveys a sense of warmth and joy. It nourishes the soul with feelings of joy. May be used for the relief of stress, nervous tension, mild anxiety and insomnia and to treat dull and oily skin complexions.

Directions

Gently mist into the air over your little one, avoiding their eyes, or mist around the room. If spraying over the face and body, hold the mist approximately 30 – 40cm away.

A note for wheat and gluten sensitivities This product may contain wheat-derived ingredients. If you are wheat or gluten sensitive, we recommend doing a small patch test using our testers on your skin prior to purchase.
